Awww I'm sure it will be fine! At first when I got Quincy my boyfriend was SOOOO mad because he didn't want a dog but I got him anyways. He would even let Quincy near him, he seriously acted like the poor thing was a diseased rodent! Now he cuddles with him all the time when he's watching TV and they get along great
It might take a little while but they will probably be best friends soon.
I think you're doing really good with potty training and in a couple months he will be much better. Have you thought about getting an Xpen for your kitchen?
Is your housing nice there? When I was stationed in California (although it was an Army base) the housing was so terrible....we had earwigs and fleas all over the place and it was such a disgusting run down place. I promised myself to never live in military housing again- unless it was an Air Force base I guess because they have really nice stuff
