So I went in the back to see cosmo..he looked HORRIBLE its like he was on sleeping pills and he was SOO skinny. I said has he been eating? they said no we have to force feed him, and were not allowed to push him, so thats why he is on the IV. Now, i'm no doctor or anything..but I KNOW you can't live on an IV forever. After a long argument I took him home. Can you believe he actually said to me..TAKE YOUR DOG I HAD ENOUGH JUST TAKE HIM. Then I told him about how rude his desk staff was..the first day I got there I said can I see my dog, and this lady asks the nurse can you see if cosmo is still alive? meanwhile i'm standing 2 feet away..anyway I could go on and on about our day yesterday.. hes here next to me resting..he just ate an entire bowl of food and took his medicine without fighting. He is just so much happier and hes doing great, hes getting the medicine orally that he would have been getting through the IV, so theres no reason for him to sit at the vet in a cage all alone. Oh and the visiting hours for your pet...9PM-9:05PM and don't you DARE call and ask about him twice in one day. |
OMG! What a horrible place. I hope you can find a new vet. That makes me sick. I'm so happy your baby is doing so well. And good for you for speaking your mind and doing what is right for your baby!
