When the AKC was allowing online registering, it was apparently possible for some people to hold their papers up to the light to see the 3 digit code even if the box had been blacked out. I guess this is why they quit doing online unlimited registering. Or so I have been told this past week when trying to register mine online. So if they were registering online, and the OP had blacked out the limited box, they could have possibly cheated.
