Default breeding

I know there are some people that breed to develop the breed (for instance show dogs people looking for better show dogs...these are people w/ a lot of money to spend in the first place) but I guarantee 97% of the people breeding, even on here, make some profit. They might say they lose money because in actual hours spent taking care of the dog they do. However, I do not believe that they spend more in food, vet bills, etc (in excess if the 1000-2000 they charge for the dogs). How would this be fesible? BUT like I said, in man hours spent caring for the puppies, they way go in the negative on financial gain. If they got paid for everything they did then the puppies we love so much would cost us upwards of 10000! lol.

Now there are people "hobby breeders" that do it for fun too. And these people not knowing how to dock tails, give vaccines, etc., may endure cost far and above what they are getting for the pups.... but again, if they did it often, they would go broke. Any business (and most of the people consider for tax reasons they must, it a business) not making money is going to go bankrupt (unless they have a husband working to pay for their expensive hobby).
