[F][F]Hi, I am NEW to the board as of today. I have 2 grown Yorkie's and 1 baby(almost 11 wks). Today we had an episode that scared me to death & i'm still not so sure. My tiny yorkie...1 pd. 4 oz...10 1/2 wks old had a problem today. She was fine all morning until around 10:30-11:00 and i started noticing her lying around alot and pouting/crying, well we had just shipped her only brother to KY today so i thought that she may have already been missing him. So, i picked her up to comfort her and when i automatically knew something was not right because she normally would not just let you sit & hold her on her back like a baby 1st of all and then the whining and i also noticed before that, that when she was standing she was really wobbly. When i was holding her, her head all of the sudden fell back like it was broke & her legs got stiff. I had another to do this before so i immediately gave her Karo Syrup along with Nutri-Cal that we give her everyday...2xs a day and rushed her to the vet. The vet said that her temp was a little low...97 and her glucose was 88(low), but we had just given her the Karo syrup so they assumed it was lower than that. So they kept her to observe for a few hrs. Now that I have picked her up she still does not act normal, and her head is still wobbly. Do you think she is ok? Or do you think it could be from all that has happened...that she is just really tired and maybe her head could be wobbly from the meds they gave her or does it take a little while for them to stabilize? I'm just very concerned because this is only my 2nd litter, the 1st my dam only had the 1...this happened with her and she died later that night but her sugar was like 32 when i got her to the vet. And then of course the day i decide to sale the other something as tragic as this would happen. I'm just very concerned for her & i would like to know any thoughts or advise that you may have. Also, she would not eat at the vets office but when i got her home she ate some soft food for me & some milk replacer along with some Nutri-Cal...she wouldn't even eat for them so thats a plus. Please help!!!
