I think there some excellent breeders on this forum, but there are a lot that I wouldn't consider buying from. So far as money - I would never buy from anyone breeding for a profit. From what I have heard, most reputable breeders that breed for the right reasons and the right way do not make much money, if any at all. I personally will only be buying from reputable show breeders from now on - costs of showing and health testing alone set a breeder back lots of $$$. The breeders I would buy from only have a few litters a year (or less) so I highly doubt they are making any money...if they are, it's not enough to support themselves without having a real job. If someone is actually making a nice profit, they aren't doing something right...

question here,,what type of breeder would be USDA licensed and WHY? and please,, if you can help me find a reputable show breeder I could buy an AKC female with full registration from,,I'd SO love that,, i hunted for several years and got astronomical pricing,, i'm talking $6K to $10K for a 12 week old puppy! so if you can point me in the right direction I'd LOVE IT!! always room for one more in my home and heart!
as for breeders,, i've yet to find ONE i totally agree with on everything,,
