I have been researching about the prices in different areas and see that in someplaces the average price people would pay will be less than $1000. But with YT, everyone says that the average is $1000-$2000 so people in those areas sell in that price range because they are able to sell on YT and are able to say that they are doing an 'average price' (which wouldn't be the case if they sold in their papers.) And I know that you price your babies according to what you think they are worth but if you sold in the papers you won't be able to sell your babies. YT is heaven to so many breeders because this is a great place to make friends and be able to sell, sell, sell. And I'm not the only one that sees this. Again, my opinion! |
I understand what you are saying...I think. But the what you are describing doesn't really put them in the category with those who do things honestly and ethically, then does it? So in a sense, they would fall into category with "the others" if they are marketing and breeding for profit, wouldn't they? You said they "do test, don't charge more the smaller they are, and have checkups and still make a big profit"...doesn't sound like they are being all that honest to me.
The claim of them being able to come here and "use" YT swings both ways though. YT is also a place where people can learn and educate themselves on what to look for when they are looking for a dog. So if they are falling victim to the scam tactics you are describing, then they are just as much to blame.
