Yes, there is a such thing as a "blonde" Yorkie. There is a member here (Julz) that has a very pretty blonde girl named Mercedes.
I have to say I would be very cautious though of anyone with any off-colored Yorkie and would question if it really does have something else in the background, just to err on the side of caution. Did this lady breed this dog herself? Does she have the parents? Does she have other breed dogs in the home? (just for starters) And make sure you are not getting charged an outrageous price for a "rare" color Yorkies...that is not the case as this is a color flaw according to the set standard and not something that is/should be purposely bred FOR for the sake of rarity.
With ANY Yorkie of any color, you can expect it to take a good year for them to start really developing their full, adult coat. However, just from looking at the pictures you posted, this dog seems to have a very wirey coat and I would seriously doubt that the pooch will ever have a long, flowing, smooth coat. |
