Well, he's out of the race now, but when Romney was representing MA, he took his family on a road trip from Massachusettes to Canada WITH HIS DOG IN HIS CARRIER STRAPPED TO THE ROOF OF THE CAR. When the dog defacated, he stopped the car and HOSED IT DOWN with the dog still in the cage on the roof.
Can you imagine the fear and panic a dog would have felt exposed on the roof of a car, especially anytime an 18 wheeler drove by them?
