I know someone whose yorkie was terrified of the groomers and she tried rescue remedy. She said it had absolutely no effect.

Ramsey is a nervous nellie when she's frightened. She pants and shakes too. She does this at the vet's office, when we go to the groomers, and any type of firework (or firework type of sound).

When she was a puppy car rides scared her but she's gotten past that now...probably because she goes to in the car every day with me to work.

I'd suggest taking him in the car frequently even if it's only trips around the block.
