Hi Franceen.

Sorry she isn't well, I hate it when they get that.

Promax, Ellie weighs 4lb & the dose I was told by the vet to give her was just 1 ml twice a day for 5 days. I gave it to her instead of antibiotics, not as well as.
The vet said try her on that first, then if it didn't clear up he'd put her on antibiotics. She had no temperature so he didn't want to give them if she could come through without. The Promax cleared it up brilliantly & I've used it since when she had another dose of the trots. He recommended to keep it in the first aid box & use it with any of them as needed as it's gentle but brilliant. The dosage is on the pack according to weight.

It's in a tube, siringe. The plunger is marked out in 2ml sections, with a screw on it. You just wind the screw back to the dose you need, I just used half a marked section for Ellie's 1ml dose, so that when you press the plunger the screw butts up against the tube when the dose has been given, so that you can't give too much. If you've ever used the Panacur worming cream the tube works on exactly the same principle.

Just one thing, it says put the tube in the back of the mouth & squirt.....NO WAY! Ellie was having none of that & fought like a demon
But I found if I put it on my finger, a bit at a time, she licked it off ! It must taste good

Hope she's soon on the mend.
xx
