It is so good to hear that someone else's showdog is their pet. I have been fussed at by quite a few people for babying Connor and turning him into a pet. My mentor had me put him in Shaw's oil and just band him. The bands rubbed across his shoulders, breaking coat. The heavy oil seems to irritate the skin and though I have the furniture covered with sheets to accomodate him, the oil draws dirt. Connor is definitely a high energy boy who just loves to run. In fact I have a real problem with him at out door shows. He insists on hopping through the grass. I've learned from experience that he can hop very slowly to accomodate me no matter how slowly I walk. I refuse to keep him locked up in a pen as I've been advised to do so I guess I'll just have to keep baby sitting that coat and picking grass out of it. Your boy is gorgeous so apparently acting like a dog is working for him.
