I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I am going on vacation and need to board my litlle one for 9 days. To prepare her I gave her a topical flea treatment (the kind that goes between the shoulder blades and at her bottom) on Sun. I noticed on Tues night she was scratching on 1 or 2 spots like crazy. I called the vet and she suggested I give her 1/2 capsule of Benadryl 2x a day. I have also been putting her pj's on her so she can't dig so deep when she scratches. Does anyone know how long it will take for flea med to get out of her system? I am assuming she is having a reaction to that since that is where the irritation is. I have to leave on Sat. and I just don't know how closely they will monitor her.
