Some people would say that when you feed a food full of fillers the dog will poop more because it is waste. Not sure how true that is but Purina does have a lot of fillers in it. Can you get Canidae, Wellness, Natural Balance... instead?
Eight times a day is WAY too many.
There is a member here whose dog goes 6 times a day and is healthy but anything more than 3 times I would be concerned with. Has your vet said he is healthy?
