It cost the same amount of money to breed top quality dogs as it does to breed pet quality dogs. Why not put all that time and effort into finding some great foundation stock?

I've looked at a lot of websites and many of the sires and dams are not show/breeding quality (which are one and the same). If a dog is not worthy of an AKC championship, it is not breeding quality either.
