Oh how much do I hate telling you this... I'm pretty sure Peeps aren't vegetarian.
Most marshmallows are made with gelatin and gelatin comes from animal bones. I love Peeps too and I miss them. I'm so surprised to see there are so many adults who like them. I've always been teased for liking them.
