If i were you I would buy a kit. Check on Brooke's site to see if she is offering them. The kit gives you 4 products and everything is the same except the shampoo. These products are all you need and I shampoo Chewy only every 3 weeks or so. Some people bathe every week. I would certainly do no more than than.
Also, re: the gold on gold. Someone on here got that for her dog and the pup looked great so I wouldn't worry.
