We kept her in a light oil and leave-in conditoner mix, made sure she was kept tangle free and wrapped the coat on her back legs and tail...this area can get pretty messy after puppies and that causes tangles...so keeping it wrapped helped a lot. She also only had 2 puppies, sometimes I think the more there are the harder it is to keep them in full coat. She still in the oil and I wrapped her sides and shoulders also, since it was so long and I did not want her to break coat playing with her puppies, which is her absolute favorite thing to do!
