How big is he? If he's on the larger side, maybe you can get away with the 7/8" inch bows. You never know, maybe you'll like the look.
I always get asked to make smaller bows than the double looped 5/8" bows, never larger. They say never get requests for them even though I'm sure some of their customers must own the larger breeds.
