breeding Most show breeders and reputable hobby breeders do not talk bad about this..it is a common practice.
More problems can come with waiting too long to breed. The uterus is a muscle and skipping too many heats can work against the breeder also. Pyrometra is a danger after every heat.
I do not think a bitch should be worn out, you know that..but a healthy girl can be bred with regularity, often but not too often.
I know reputable breeders who breed three times in a row...I did that with a female who had one and two pups every 10 months..she was spayed after the third time. In fact I used a champion for each breeding and the breeders recommmended it. That is conservative breeding IMO. |
