My Yorkie has grade 1 LP on both knees. Since he isn't showing any signs of pain or limping the Ortho Specialist said he doesn't need surgery. I was relieved to hear that. I had been reading on YT that some people give their Yorkies who have LP's glucosamine. So I called my vet and asked her if I should give it to mine. She said absolutely and she recommended Cosequin. I was a bit upset because she never recommended it to me. Luckily for YT I found out about it. So I was just wondering, in addition to the glucosamine, are there any other vitamins that are good to give for LP? I forgot to ask my vet, will he be on Cosequin all his life? Does anyone know?
