My little guy is only 11 weeks old and is really good in his carrier. I left it on the floor for the first week and put kibble in it. He went in and out playing and eating kibble. Now when I take him out in he just lays down and sleeps or quietly looks around. I usually put a favorite toy in with him. Good luck!
I have had my lookout carseat on the floor for him to get used to for the last 10 days and he climbed into it on his own yesterday to chew his bully stick so I'm hoping the technique will work for the carseat as well.
