I have a five-year-old niece that my yorkie just adores. They play like puppies and have a great time with one another. But there are times when Cooper does not want anything to do with my niece. I take that as a sign that he is tired and doesn't want to be bothered. So I ask my niece to be calm and sit, Cooper will eventually go to her.

When your yorkie runs from your daughter is it during times that she is wound up and running around?
