Molly (my yorkie) has thick, soft hair. She doesn't have the silk hair that most yorkies have. I was reading somewhere that if you have a yorkie with this type of hair it's better to keep them with a 'puppy cut' to avoid grooming frustration for the animal and owner.
She is so pretty with some longer hair. She looks scrauny(sp?) and not like my Molly when she is short. She recently had puppies, and they did matt her hair so badly that I shaved her instead of making her go through all the grooming for the mats.
Wondering if anyone has a yorkie like mine? And what do you do about grooming? She is 5lbs, and like a said she looks super scrauny when shaved. Her hair does grow pretty rapidly though.
So we only have to deal with the short hair for awhile, but still.....
