You are asking should you finish a degree that you hate or switch to something that you think you will like and might want to work in. This switch will take 20 more hours than the Animal Science degree that you hate.
I say, do what your heart says to do. If you don't want to finish the Animal Science degree, then don't. But only if you are really committed to finishing the other degree - if you are in any way wishy washy about that, then just go ahead, suck it up, and finish the AS degree.
You are already working in floral design - you can continue to work in that while you finish the other degree.
Of course, there may be financial constraints that may be in play. Do you need, financially, to get out of school? If not, then my advice is to follow your heart, which I can see is aimed toward the second degree.
Good luck with your decision! Let us know what you decide. Have you talked with your parents? |
Thank you! This is exactly what I have been wanting to hear all day.

Blake (my BF) and I have been discussing this all day. I really think I have made up my mind to switch majors. I know I'm crazy for staying in school longer when all I want to do is be done BUT...2 semesters in courses that I hate and have to struggle through will seem like an eternity as well. I enjoy working with children and can really see myself working with youth some day. Even if I don't ever use the degree, I know that it will help me with my own relationships.
Thank you everyone for your advice. I really do appreciate it.
