I just checked on ebay and they have gone up in price since I got mine over a year ago, there were no real bargains now. What you've come up with should be good, as long as the table is sturdy and heavy enough, you don't want it to tip over. The grooming arm will attach to most any flat surface. You might have to make certain the table top has a no-slip surface, even if you have to attach some kind of rubber matting. Sounds like a great idea!
