They don't need to chew their food. Dogs in the wild gulp their food down (Wolf it down) to finish before some other aimal shows up asnd steals it from them.

As for the itching, I would suspect the food. Put her back on what she was on when you got her and cut out the treats, see if it makes a difference.

Fleas and/or mites can be hard to detect. You should probasbly have her seen by a vet.

The constant scratching can cause raw skin which can turn into dermatitis.
