There was a post not long ago, and gosh I do apologize for not remembering who to give credit to on that post. But they mentioned using part of a tampon to give support to the ear while the ears are taped. I never had to tape Schatzie's but that post stuck in my mind and it sounded like such a great idea.

It can take up to 6 months of age for a Yorkie's ears to stand up from what I read, so please don't panic now if your pup's ears are still floppy. A lot of times, just having the tips of the ear shaved by your groomer does the trick. It worked for Schatzie.

From what I have read on the posts the taped ears sometimes stick, sometimes don't and have to be redone quite often. So maybe it might be easier to just have the tips shaved first to see if that will work, if not then really dig into the info of taping.
