We were soooo shocked,,,,yet excited when they come out doing better then the dry birth...we suctioned so much fluid out of his lungs...He had the roughest time.  |
The placenta most likely came from one of the previous puppies. Once the puppy is detached from the placenta it can suffocate if the puppy is still in the sac or in the birth canal. In a breached birth sometimes everything will be out but the head. You never cut the cord until the puppy is completely out. I know a lady that did that one time and the puppy died in the birth canal. Some times when mine are delivering they might deliver 2 or 3 pups before I see a placenta and then a puppy and several placenta might come out.
