I use distilled water also... It has helped, I also will once in a while wash Chewy's face with no more tears baby shampoo when his face is gross... (He gets a bath every week but this is for inbetween) I cut the eye hair around his eyes to keep it from poking him in the eye.

The peroxide is just regular from the drug store. Dilute it half and half with warm water...Be careful not to get it in his eyes... I just use a cotton ball and wipe his eyes with it after I have cleaned and combed it.
