No, he has never exhibited any strange signs after eating -- no shaking or walking in circles. And no, I don't think that he gets depressed. He is as active at 16 months as he was when we first got him around 5 months old - he plays hard and then konks out for a bit, and then he is up again running around and wanting to play with anyone and everyone. He goes to daycare 3 days a week and the techs always comment on how active and playful he is.
I would not say he is a big or little eater. His appetite varies, which I think is normal, but overall he is a pretty good eater. And even over the past couple days when he was vomitting - he still wanted to eat and scratched at his food mat.
