I can tell you, both hawks, owls, bobcats and coyotes ARE threats around here.
A year or so back, a hawk flew into our screened in poarch, thru the screen part and came after Cody with my father right there! And I have heard of breeders that kept their dogs outside to find that coyotes had killed them. I've seen with my own two eyes coyotes corner small cows, a Yorkie is nothing but a morsel to them.
