1800petmeds says the normal dose is between 2.3 and 4.5 mg per lb given once daily, so if this is right your dog should get between 11.5 and 22.5 mg. It may be safe with highter doses though. The pills come in 100 and 200 mg strength. Even if the vet gave you the 100 mg ones, that is 50 mg per day, which is over double what 1800petmeds says to give. I would call them.
