The best tip I have to offer is our babies pretty much understand one word commands :
So instead of saying Bleu Boy come here to me
You would simlpy say: COME
Instead of saying Bleu Boy sit down: Number one there are 2 command words sit and down so you only use one .. This is the easiest one to get mixed up on.
You either are working on sit or you are working on down.
Once your baby does what your command is you follow with the word GOOD...
Good Come
Good Sit
Good Shake
Good Roll Over..
Do not do a bunch of praising.. Praise using the command word followed by the word "GOOD" NEVER SAY GOOD BOY OR GOOD BLEU BOY
One word commands followed by the word Good .. They will confuse their name.. They only associate one thing at a time
Also if you are training your baby on sitting .. You say sit and (he she does not do it) count to 10 and say sit again .. give them time to respond.. It will amaze you they will respond but their minds are not as fast as ours and always remember they are not being hard headed they want to please you ... It just takes them time to comprehend... Say the command in reps of 3
Always train in same location (preferably tight closed location so their only focus is you )
Always use the same treat.
The key here is repetition!
Hope this was not too long you can narrow it if you like or if it is not what you are looking for you do not have to use it!
