But you know the silver lining here? You work there and care about the animals. There are some people working at pet stores that don't care, let alone even know much.
So I know it's probably sometimes not fun for you to work there dealing with all kinds of people. But for every 5 that you can't help, there's going to be 1 that you can. Kudos to you!! |
yeah... every time im actually able to help someone it make it all worth it. there was a couple in last week that were getting ready to buy a new puppy. they came in and asked TONS of questions and bought everything they would need. they were supose to pick up their puppy friday. well saturday morning came and they wandered back into the store not looking so happy. when i approached them they said that the people they were supose to get the puppy from sold it to someone else before they got there on friday because someone else offered them more money. they were devistated.
me and my manager talked to them for a while and told them about the adoptions we do on sunday morning and they should come look at them. they werent really sure... but sunday morning there they were bright and early. they ended up taking home a 1 year old chihuahua mix who had his front right leg amputated. they seemed to bond instantly with the little guy.
its times like those that im actually proud to work at petsmart... despite some of the idiots we get in there...
