My babies have long hair, I bathe them at least once a week.
I use Aussie Moist shampoo and 3 minute miracle conditioner. I know there are probably better shampoos, but these smell so nice and I use them on my human babies as well.
I blow dry them and comb them using a light mist of a doggie detangler I got a PetCo. It smells so wonderful and makes them just shine!
Zoe gets a top-knot, Zorak has a middle part and we trained his hair to lay out of his eyes... it looks cute so far.
I trimmed the hair straight across level with the hocks... just to even out the ends and make it look more 'polished'.
I took them to PetSmart for their grooming, but they CUT the hair when I specifically said NO CUTTING! I was more than mildly irritated, so now I will do it myself!
I leave the toe trimming to the vet for now and the teeth I do myself and let the vet scrape twice a year. Anal glands have not needed to be done yet.
That is all I know so far about grooming.
