I was unsure of where to put this question, here or in grooming, but since the dog in question is a show dog, I figured it was more appropriate here.

When shaving a dogs genital region, how far up the belly do you go? I know that I used to not take it up far enough, as he was still messing some of his belly hair, but I don't want to end up shaving too far up.

Anyone have some input on this?
