Dee...our vet does all her ultrasounds with them standing up...very easy and our girls just stand there like they are getting their tummy rubbed.
We also have x-rays done, without any problems. We usually have them done on day 59-60 to see size, make sure all are alive and well at this point (there will be gas around the baby and possibly collapsed bones if one has died), and also gives our girls one last check up with the doctor before delivering.
