My husband also used to train dogs and is UNBELIEVABLY good at it. He tells me that Peanut hasn't learned to respect me yet (he doesn't get too actively involved in training because he wants the dog to look to me first and says that one person should be responsible for him right now, until he adjusts more). I will try making him walk behind my neice to see if that helps, and will also try some of the other suggestions.
Any thoughts on what I should expect after his surgery? They're going to have me drop him off at 7AM, and leave him. He has to be neutered, and they'll find the missing testicle. They will also remove one baby tooth that is behind an adult tooth. Poor baby hasn't been well cared for.
