Default Post-spaying concerns

We had our Yorkie cross spayed 3 days ago. She also had dew claws on all four legs. The vet ended up removing the front two but not the back to. From what I can tell this is the opposite of what should have happened.

Three days after the surgery she is still very uncomfortable. She usually takes a few steps but then sits down quickly. She is always trying to get at her incision. We have had to keep the e-collar on her because the minute we try to take it off she is after her stitches.

Does this sound like normal behaviour after a spay surgery? Her incision looks pretty good. I do not want to take her back to the vet because I am angry about the dew claws.

How long do we need to leave the e-collar on?
