Default Possible remedy for Yorkies with skin problems

Last week I went for a haircut and told my hairdresser about my new little Yorkie. She said her mother-in-law has a Yorkie and that when she saw the dog and petted it, she noticed white flakes and then felt little bumps all over the dogs body. Her mother-in-law told her that she had gotten some special stuff from the vet, but wasn't noticing any improvement. Deb, my hairdresser, said she gave her mother-in-law Nioxin shampoo and scalp conditioner and told her to try that. She tried it and within 3 weeks (bathing once a week), the puppy was totally cleared up of any signs of bumps or dandruff! Nioxin is meant for humans, but is all natural in ingredients, so I think I'm going to try some on my Maddie because I do notice dandruff when I brush her. I tried Nioxin myself, a couple years back and you can even brush your teeth with the stuff! I tried it...LOL...it has a minty taste...and it feels so good washing the hair with it...gives a tingle! Anyway, since I've seen lots of posts here with Yorkie skin problems, I thought I'd pass this on. Nioxin is a little spendy, but hey...they're worth it! Hope this helps those of you having this type problem with your sweeties!
