Yes it was such an ugly experience. It happened Memorial Weekend, and yes we almost lost him. The dog was an 75lbs German Shepherd mix that was an escape artist. Always roaming the streets but till he got ahold of Gus, there was no problems with him attacking,,, as a matter of fact his partner in crime is a Chihuahua that lives next door. I don't know what kind of dog the puppy was that got killed. The live directly in back of me and I really don't talk to them and didn't even know they had a new puppy Nor know how it all happened. But in our case,,, was thinking that since Gus had so much hair and is really tiny, maybe she thought he was a rodent or something.
