You don't need to give most supplements with dog food or raw because they have all the vitamins and minerals your dog needs. But with homecooked, you do need to supplement to make sure you give your dog the necessary vitamins and minerals.

I feed raw and I give a fish oil/vitamin E. supplement

If you plan to homecook, talk to someone on here that has a lot of experience with it or talk to a nutritionist.
