The yellow stuff is usually bile (and will almost always be foaming as well). Most times it means her tummy is too empty.
For a cold, I would definitely visit the vet. It is really easy for colds to be kennel cough or progress to pneumonia. I would think that turning on the shower hot and closing the bathroom door with Martini in there with you could help a little with congestion.
