If you want just about the best, go central vac. My sister just put it in her house- in her kitchen they put a new thing in central vac- a dust pan!! It is like a little vent in baseboard- floor level- for small jobs- sweep it in front of it- open vent it sucks it in! Central vacs are the bomb! Cost more than a Kirby though, but do increase the value of the house, are pretty much once a year maintence, and last a life time!
