I'm just getting over the same thing! Look down your throat with a flashlight. I had some white looking things that actually wasn't Strep, but a bacterial throat infection. I'm still on antibiotics. My nose is still a little runny, but my throat is not hurting now. It took about a week to stop, though.
A lot of kids at school are getting it too. I bought some OTC nighttime cough and sore throat liquid, and it works well.
