I do not believe he thought his words to you would be posted on a Yorkie Forum either? I hope he doesn't mind. I think when someone shares their thoughts with you, that it should be approved by them before you share it with others. JMO
I do agree that there is a lot of pride and passion and sure some breeders it is about ego but not all. I see many people who believe they are breeding to the standard and have a soft coated black and tan is the correct color and they even believe its silk.
About the comment sometimes the best dog isn't in the ring, I agree.
If you go to my webpage you will see on the Champions page. Jesse, he very easily could have been a champion but I could not pass up the wonderful home that was really wanting him. So in my heart and theirs he will always be a Champion. Yes I truly wanted to show him but hey its truly about the dogs to me and at that time I really didn't need another male to show. And I talk to them almost daily, I love his family like they are mine.

you are absolutely right and i thought about posting this wondering if it was the right thing for me to do. I felt since I am new to this, I would like to see what other professional show exhibitors felt.

I am really feeling now that this should have been kept to myself but then how would I know any different if I kept it to myself? Most of the exhibitors I have spoke with really are very busy and don't have the time for someone who is new to this like me. Or they appear they do not want you to be an exhibitor ( i am sure i am wrong but this is how it appears) I am sure they have people emailing on a daily basis regarding becoming an exhibitor. UGGGGGG this is definitely a hard!!! I will keep on trying to learn and i am sure i will keep making mistakes.
