I stayed a bit more upper east - and absolutely loved it. Wasn't too far - but far enough from the touristy bleh to be charming NY-ish - close to Central Park, museums, cab access, everything. I adore SoHo - that's really fun too. |
I agree with Wylie's Mom we only stay in Times Square for business since it's close to our office but I would definitely stay near SoHo, etc. Oh and the Village is awesome too.
I guess TS is good too if you plan on attending Broadway Shows or even doing some touristy things like go to Rockefeller Center, etc.
Or the Rodger Williams is nice and that's near Macy's and Central Park.
