I also wanted to say what a pleasure it has been to read this thread and see all of the POSITIVE responses. Almost everyone was sensitive to what the OP was feeling and gave great advice. I told my husband that if you need to improve on your patience, get a JRT. the thing that drives me insane is when she sratches on the door to come in and you open the door to let her in and she just stares at you amd won't come in, you close the door and it starts all over again.
I am so glad you decided to keep Leo, in time you will bond with him, I have no doubt about it. Wicket (yorkie) doesn't care who has him as long as he in your lap or arms.
