It might be a good idea to replace the honey with karo syrup since there is some controversy over whether a puppy should have honey or not. You could only do this if the dog isn't allergic to corn though.
There is a lot of iron in blackstrap molasses, so you might want to use regular, especially since their is already iron in their food. Whatever you're comfortable with...
I made them thinner than 1/4 inch.
To dry out a took them out of the oven and turned it off. Then I flipped all of them and put them back in the over overnight. I don't think this is a reliable way to get all the moisture out, so I wouldn't keep them longer than you would keep cookies for yourself or you could buy a food dehydrator.
